Antonio Senatore joined VeChain Foundation as Chief Technology officer in July 2022, and has a deep technical expertise around Blockchain, Big Data, Analytics, Cloud and Innovation. He previously served as the Head of Technology for SDGs initiatives at VeChain Foundation, where he started the work to enable the technical infrastructure for the SDGs ecosystem. Antonio is responsible for the formation and setting up of the Technical Team in Dublin building to a team of 22 persons in 7 months, visioning and delivering the technology roadmap of the Foundation. In the first 6 months of being a CTO, he has managed a number of technical deliveries that will benefit the foundation and the whole community (e.g. VeWorld wallet, VORJ API, Infrastructure improvements, carbon footprint calculator and more).
Antonio has been a member of the board of Advisors of the VeChain foundation for almost four years and a sitting member of the Steering Committee for the VeChain Foundation (ad interim).
Joining VeChain from Deloitte, where he held the position of Deloitte Global Blockchain CTO and Head of the Deloitte EMEA Blockchain Lab. Leading a team of around 40 technology practitioners in Ireland and a number of globally located resources from different delivery centres. Prior to this role, Antonio was the Deloitte Big Data capabilities lead in Ireland (from 2012 to 2016) and founded and led the Deloitte EMEA Big data Community of practice, a network of Big Data practitioners based in Europe and Middle East.
Antonio delivered the first commercial Big Data cluster for Deloitte globally which led to the set-up of the Deloitte-Cloudera partnership.
With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, 16 of which in consulting and 5 in technology start-ups having held positions in VeChain, Deloitte, Accenture Italy, Deutsche Bank, Newbay Software Ltd Ireland and Mobile Aware Software Ltd Ireland.
His areas of expertise include: Blockchain, Crypto, DeFI, Big Data, Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Applied Cryptography, Security, Cloud Computing, Data Architecture, Enterprise Integration, Microservices design, Scrum and Agile software development methodologies.
He is a Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH), a Certified Scrum master and a Certified AWS Cloud practitioners and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano
